Transgender or Gender Spectrum Resources by Ruth Utnage
I know how it feels to feel like you can’t live as your true self. I lived as a male for 33 years before I was bold enough to drop the facade and reveal the true me. I also know how it feels to feel like you’re alone when you do come out. This is why I wanted to tell you about these organizations who have helped me through times that were unimaginably lonely and difficult.
Gender Justice League:

Ingersoll Gender Center

These organizations, and more, have people that care about their communities. There is no judgment (you’re just gonna have to trust me on this!), but there is a lot of care. If you need help or are a supporter or friend or family of someone who is trans or on the gender spectrum, these two places are great resources to begin your journey.
If you’re not in the Seattle area, contact them to help you find resources in your area.
Seriously, I’m in prison and I’m trans but these people cared enough to make me feel like I had support, like I wasn’t a freak, they’re about that business and you can count on them.
If there is organizations in your area that assist the trans or gender spectrum community, feel free to plug them in a comment!
With Love
